What is it and how does it work?

A few years ago FFHA realized that some skaters (and parents) needed assistance with obtaining hockey equipment which both fit properly and was safe to use. Thus, we introduced this program. The way it worked is that we individually fit the first year skaters with equipment that is either new or slightly used. The parents then gave us a deposit on the equipment and if at some time during the season the skater decides not to continue playing hockey, the equipment could be returned and we refunded your deposit in full or you kept the equipment.  Because this program has grown tremendously we are now only able to offer our equipment program on a rental basis and here is how it works:

All NEW 1st year skaters Mites through Squirts/10U are eligible. (12U, Pee Wee’s & Bantams are also eligible if we have equipment)

Cost:  $50 -  Any equipment returned before December 1 will receive a full refund if you child decides not to skate.

Why is this such a great program?

• Skaters are properly protected with safe, properly fitting equipment.
• Stress for parents trying to find all the right equipment is eliminated.
• Cost to parents is reasonable

What equipment is provided?

Helmet, Shoulder pads,  Gloves,  Elbow pads,  Pants/Breezers,  Shin pads

             ** You are responsible for your own skates, stick & mouth guard

REMEMBER...Playing hockey is all about having fun! The purpose of this program is to make it easy for first year players and parents to obtain safe and proper fitting equipment at an economical price. Then all you have to think about is having fun!
